Happy Tuesday, friends! I can’t believe how quickly last weekend flew by… it feels like such a blur! Probably because it was such a fun and exciting weekend as I got to check out one of Edo Japans new locations in Edmonton! This past weekend, on January 27th, Edo Japan opened three new stores at North Town Centre, the Shops of Granville and Heritage Valley. I stopped by the Shops of Granville location and was able to check out their new ‘Fresh Take’ concept… and let me tell you, I will be back!
From fresh salads to fresh sushi, poke bowls and more! I was SO impressed! I tried out the California Poke Bowl and it was AMAZING… it was also the first time I had tried a Poke Bowl… and I am now obsessed! I love how they combine fresh raw veggies with a variety of protein (crab, shrimp, etc,.) and they add foods like pickled ginger (also my first time trying and I’ve already bought myself a jar it was so good) and avocado!
Now, while Shops of Granville features this new ‘Fresh Take’ concept and a market wall with yummy Japanese-inspired goodies like Pocky Sticks, the new North Town Centre Location has pulled out all of the stops. They have a completely new design and concept, new branding, and some new menu additions like Iced Infused Beverages! SO yummy! As well as new bowls such as the Chop Chop Bowl (also a personal fav!) and the Noodlefull Bowl!
So, if you are sitting around this week, not wanting to cook something for dinner, or not wanting to pack a lunch… take that as a great opportunity to try out one of these new #yeg locations and to try out some new eats! Because after trying my first Poke Bowl, I AM HOOKED! 🙂
Have you tried out one of the new Edo’s? What is your fav dish?!
With Love, Meg
