Dressing for the Holidays

#TGIF! #FRIYAY! It’s Friday, baby! And you know what that means! This is the last workday before a much-needed vacation! I am SO looking forward to a week off of internship that is going to be filled with tons of family and pup time, and LOTS of relaxation! But of course, with the holiday season comes lots of family get-togethers and shindigs – Christmas Eve brunch and dinner, Christmas dinner, Boxing Day spent at the in-laws, New years eve parties, New years day parties – YOU NAME IT, and I am probably going to be in attendance! Instead of buying an outfit for each of these occasions, I like to find a staple piece to wear for each and all of these. And Mata Traders is just the place to find a versatile dress for all holiday occasions!

I fell in love with this cute little dress the first time I laid eyes on it. It was just too cute of a shift dress to pass up on, and the gorgeous navy color was too beautiful! It is made from incredible hand-woven ikat, and it is definitely going to be a dress that people will be asking you all about! Trust me!

Now, I specifically thought this dress was perfect for New Years Eve celebrations! Why? Well, I’m not really into anything too revealing and flashy. I tend to lean more towards classy, sophisticated and timeless – and this dress ticked off all of those boxes!

Now to add a little Pi-zaz! I HAD to add this pair of sparkly, silver booties from Kelsi Dagger! Have you ever seen a more perfect pair of shoes to ring the new year with?! I think not! Not only are they GORGEOUS! But they are so comfortable – which means you can find me dancing the night away 🙂
