Hi, Friends! The day I arrived in London, it was mid-afternoon. Now… of course naturally, I wanted to pass out on a comfy bed and sleep for days and days. However, logical Meg knew that the best thing to do was to stay awake as long as possible so that when I went to bed, I would wake up approximately at the same time as Londoners do 🙂
So… I caught a very cool looking taxi and dropped off my bag before wandering around.
The hotel I stayed at was situated within walking distance from Hyde Park… Definitely my favorite of all the parks. So, off I went to this lovely little (ha!) park.
I wandered around the sites near the park, and the neighborhood… Not wanting to wander too far as it was clouding over and I was very tired.
After seeing some of the monuments around the park, I ended up back at the Italian Gardens! I sat and relaxed and people watched (my favorite past-time).
As soon as I got back to the hotel… I passed out! Hyde Park had me falling in love with London already! I love the green space and seeing everyone biking and exercising! I highly recommend if you arrive in London at an awkward time to make your way here and just relax and people watch; it is definitely a calm spot within the bustling city, and somewhere I visited every day of my stay!
Stay tuned to find out about all the sites I saw in London!
With Love, Meg
