LAPARKA

The one thing I hate most about Winter is the cold. If snow wasn’t associated with freezing temperatures, I would be much happier. I feel so blessed to live in a place that experiences all seasons and that is so close to such beautiful mountains. I love making time to escape there every winter, but I always end up freezing and wanting to seek shelter at the nearest cafe or chalet.

This year, I wanted things to be different. I wanted to be able to go on walks and enjoy the snow and the mountains without worrying about freezing. I packed warm mittens and tons of extra cozy socks. I packed leggings to wear under my jeans (layers mean everything!) but the most important thing I packed was my Essential Plume Parka from LAPARKA.

This parka kept me the WARMEST I have ever been! The windchill made visiting Lake Louise extremely chilly, and I was so snug and cozy I didn’t complain once! Ask my boyfriend – he can confirm! 😉

I felt so sorry for the tourists wearing their hoodies and fall jackets trudging through the snow. I was so proud to be wearing something Canadian-made that is meant for Canadian weather.

We had fun throwing some snow around and I wasn’t worried at all because my parka is water resistant. The snow literally slid right off! It was so wonderful.

All of the Parkas at LAPARKA are down-filled which means you can expect to stay toasty no matter the weather conditions. As well, the parkas are very figure flattering – weather you are curvy or slim!

The fall/winter 2015 collection is based on whimsical fairy tales – think of Snow White and Little Red Riding hood; this theme, combined with Canadian elements make the perfect Parka. They are feminine and stylish. You cannot go wrong.

I love the fur trimmed hood – this keeps the cold wind off your face and protects your skin from the harsh weather! The hood also detaches so on those warmer winter days you can take it off!  As well, the two-way zipper is amazing! I like to unzip the bottom half when I am sitting or driving to allow for more comfort 🙂 such a great feature!

I am completely and utterly in love with LAPARKA– I have never owned such a stunning, beautiful and warm winter coat. It is the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe (and yours too 😉 ! ). Make sure to head over to their site to see all of the amazing parkas they have!

PS. If you are heading to Lake Louise this Winter, make sure to warm up in the Fairmont with some lattes and their VANILLA BEAN CHEESECAKE! It is incredible!
