A little while ago I was introduced to Libertine Fragrance through Instagram. We decided it would be fun to collaborate and feature one of their scents on here. After much deliberation I decided to go with their “Soft Woods” fragrance. It is different than any other perfume I have ever used before.
Josh, creator of Libertine Fragrance describes it perfectly:[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]Soft rays of sunlight glimmering through the needled branches of a conifer forest. Soft Woods gets its name from the conifer trees that dot the landscape. This scent is a perfect blend between the masculine smells of balsam fir, Juniper and black pepper with the sweeter more delicate lavender, white lily and vanilla.[/pullquote]
His description enticed me!
What I love about this perfume is that it is ever-changing, yet never over-powering. I am not the type of person who likes overwhelming scents – and this has just the right amount of kick in it. When you first put this perfume on, it is soft and gentle, yet strong – you know it is there, and it is pleasant on your senses.
As you wear it throughout the day, I find it changes – a stronger hint of vanilla becomes evident as the hours go by. I love it!
I chose to shoot this perfume outdoors because that is exactly what it reminds me of. Being outdoors first thing in the morning, when the air is fresh, crisp and dewy, the scent of trees and the softness of nature, all wrapped into one.
One thing Josh told me is that his main consumers are women, even though his fragrances are unisex. I decided to see what my brother thought of the fragrance – he loved it. In fact, I can’t get it back from him.
As I mentioned in my last post, it may be time for some of us to start thinking about Christmas shopping. I hope your search for the perfect present ends here because this is an excellent little gift for anyone in your life, literally!
With Love, Meg
